Mine Geologist – Residential (Full Time)

With a proud heritage in exploration and gold production, our team is now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mine Geologist to support our growing Geology Department. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collection and processing of underground grade control data (face mapping and sampling, sludges, diamond core).
  • Lithological and structural logging of diamond drill core.
  • Assisting with the management of the database utilising relevant QA/QC protocols to ensure the quality and integrity of the data.
  • Geological interpretation, interrogation of grade control models and reporting.
  • Working within a small team to provide strategic, innovative, and practical geological insights.
  • Supporting the engineering and operations teams by supplying high quality, timely geological data.
About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor of science, majoring in Geology.
  • 2-3 years industry experience in Mine Geology with 1+ year in an underground environment.
  • Intermediate skills with mining software (Surpac or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • A safety focused and proactive approach to underground geology.
