Job summary

St Ives, a world-class gold operation, is seeking a Geologist to work with the Senior Mine Geologist and Mining Team in WA. The role focuses on delivering geology services, supporting ore recovery, data analysis, and reserve delineation at a high-performing site.

You’ll have an 8 days on/6 days off roster, with FIFO from Perth or residential in Kambalda/Kalgoorlie, and relocation or housing support where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Geology) and mining experience.
• Skilled in mining software (Datamine/Leapfrog) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, collaborative mindset and current manual driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diamond core logging of grade control.
• Assist with underground diamond drill rig management and QA/QC protocol.
• Support Mining Team in maximizing ore recovery and minimizing dilution.
• Collect, analyse, and report underground grade control data to inform block modelling.

The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with the Senior Mine Geologist and Mining Team to deliver high-quality geology services. You’ll make a meaningful impact by supporting ore recovery, data analysis, and reserve delineation at St Ives. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute, collaborate, innovate, and develop geology practices at a high-performing site.

This role can be offered on a 8 days on 6 days off roster as either residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie OR Fly in Fly out from Perth. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.

Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.
