Job summary

Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is seeking an experienced pump hand / pit services operator with open cut mining exposure. The role is on a dayshift lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5, with weekend work as part of the schedule.

You will inspect dewatering pumps, assist with HDPE pipeline work (desired), and maintain accurate service records while performing light maintenance and ensuring safety and compliance in a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Dewatering competency and related field experience are preferred.
• Chainsaw ticket and poly welding exposure are advantageous.
• Experience operating heavy civil equipment (dozers/excavators/loader) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment and inspections of dewatering pumps.
• Complete welding and installation of HDPE pipelines (desired).
• Accurately record service data on equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
• Execute dewatering duties in active mining environments.
• Follow safe work practices and methods.
