Job summary

Real Pet Food Company in Dubbo seeks a mechanically-minded Mill Operator to run the site’s grain-free manufacturing line on a Monday to Friday shift from 6:55am to 3:00pm. You will operate the mill, monitor product specs and assist with premix handling in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Ideal candidates are safety-focused, capable of working independently, and able to communicate with the production team. A current forklift license is preferred, and overtime penalties apply when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Current Forklift Operators License is preferred.
• Strong safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of the Mill.
• Follow product specifications (Density, Moisture, Protein) and operate NIR.
• Unload trucks in accordance with WHS procedures.
• Transfer ingredients from silos to batching bins and record transfers.
• Ensure correct mill screens and check wear at shift start.
• Maintain clean work areas and communicate with extruder operators.
• Assist supervisors with duties like ingredient counts and stock management.
• Adhere to FIFO stock rotation and proper storage.
