The Role

Canterbury Farm Services is recruiting a proactive, hands-on Milking Machine Technician to keep our clients’ systems running flawlessly. You’ll travel between farms, install and service DeLaval milking systems, and be the trusted technical partner farmers rely on.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair DeLaval milking machines and ancillary equipment.

• Inspect and test milking systems on a regular schedule to ensure peak performance.

• Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and safely.

• Provide exceptional on-farm customer service, explaining work clearly and building long-term relationships.

• Record work accurately, manage parts usage, and keep service records up to date.

• Keep current with industry developments and new DeLaval technology.

Who You Are

• Experienced technician with milking machine, agricultural machinery, or similar field experience.

• Registered machine tester is highly desirable but not essential; practical experience and a strong work ethic are valued.

• Strong problem-solver.

• Excellent communicator who can explain technical issues to farmers in plain language.

• Independent worker who also thrives in a supportive team.

• Full, valid driver’s license.
