Job summary

Telum is seeking a reliable MIG Welder for our client manufacturing precast concrete pipes. The role focuses on MIG welding of steel reinforcement and interpreting workshop drawings.

You will read technical drawings, operate overhead cranes and forklifts, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Training and safety checks apply.

Work hours typically start between 4am and 5am with long shifts, and there is overtime weekly. Immediate start possible.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience required.
• Precast manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
• LF forklift licence is a helpful but not essential.

Your duties will also include:

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Operating overhead cranes & forklift to move equipment around
• Following workplace safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work area

Work Hours

You will generally float between 4am & 5am starts.

• Monday – Thursday: 5am start and working a 10-hour shift
• Friday: 4am start and working an 8-hour shift where possible.

Please note - if you are successful at interview stage you will be required to undertake a pre employment medical, including D & A screen, physical, spirometry and audio testing. + complete an online induction prior to starting.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

• MIG welding experience
• Precast manufacturing experience
• The ability to read and interpret drawings
• Experience or confidence operating overhead cranes
• A reliable, practical, and safety-focused approach to work
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• LF Forklift licence highly regarded, but not essential.
