Job summary

Newcastle Private Hospital Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join our close-knit maternity team. This permanent role offers 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the chance to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving education and evidence-based practice.

With over 1,700 births per year, we provide care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery. If you enjoy teaching, mentoring and inspiring others, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Minimum 4–5 years' post-registration midwifery experience.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or working towards.
• Experience teaching and mentoring midwives and students.
• Current NSW Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver education and development programs across the maternity service.
• Mentor, support and educate student, graduate and early-career midwives.
• Coordinate orientation, onboarding and competency assessments.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) to join our close knit maternity team.
This permanent role offers flexibility from either a 0.6 to 1.0 FTE and the opportunity to mentor student, graduate and experienced midwives while driving excellence in education and evidence-based practice.

With over 1,700 births each year, Newcastle Private is the largest private maternity service north of Sydney, providing care across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery.

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2026, a salary ranging from $66 - $79 per hour.
