Job summary

Omega Medical in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator for a permanent 0.8–1.0 FTE role. You will deliver education across antenatal, postnatal, birthing suite and nursery, while supporting student and graduate midwives and staff development.

You will promote evidence-based practice, strengthen clinical capability, and shape a new Graduate Diploma program within a close-knit maternity team.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Minimum 6 years of post-registration midwifery experience.
• Recent clinical experience in a Birthing Suite environment.
• Experience teaching and supervising students and early-career midwives.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and policy development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver education across Antenatal, Postnatal, Birthing Suite and Special Care Nursery.
• Support development of student midwives, graduate midwives and experienced staff.
• Promote evidence-based practice and strengthen clinical capability.
• Contribute to new Graduate Diploma program and education initiatives.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Midwifery Educator to join a close-knit maternity team in Newcastle, NSW.

This permanent opportunity offers flexibility from 0.8-1.0 FTE, with the opportunity to support the development of student midwives, graduate midwives and experienced clinical staff across a diverse maternity service.

You'll play a pivotal role in promoting evidence-based practice, strengthening clinical capability and delivering high-quality education across Antenatal, Postnatal, Birthing Suite and Special Care Nursery.

Essential Requirements
