Job summary

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking a registered midwife for the Lyell McEwin Hospital's Birthing and Assessment Unit. This part-time, ongoing role focuses on providing evidence-based, woman-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.

The successful applicant will demonstrate intrapartum expertise, fetal surveillance skills, and a commitment to culturally safe care while collaborating with obstetric and neonatal colleagues to support safe care pathways.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with NMBA registration or eligibility.
• Competent intrapartum care and fetal surveillance.
• Experience in hospital birthing or maternity assessment settings.
• Commitment to woman-centred and culturally safe care.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, woman-centred care across birthing and assessment services.
• Assess, plan and deliver midwifery care for varying acuity levels.
• Collaborate with obstetric, neonatal and allied health teams to ensure safe care paths.
• Contribute to quality improvement and reflective practice.
