A local educational institution in Melbourne is seeking a Year 3 and 4 Community Coach to support staff in implementing effective teaching strategies and nurturing student wellbeing. The Year 3 and 4 Community Coach plays a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment that supports the growth and success of all students and teachers in the Middle School.
As a leader inLearning & Teaching for Year 3 and 4, the Community Coach works in partnership with the school’s Diversity Coach, Wellbeing Coach, and Deputy Principal – Learning & Teaching. Guided by the school’s expectations, processes, and practices, the Community Coach ensures that high standards are achieved across these key domains in Year 3 and 4.
The role centers on supporting staff to design and implement evidence-based, high-impact teaching strategies, with a strong focus onexplicit direct instruction, to meet the needs of every learner. The Community Coach is responsible for ensuring the consistent use of practices that have the greatest impact on student learning and progress.
In addition, the Community Coach is expected to foster respectful and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, and families, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the wellbeing and achievement of all.
