Job summary

Redgate in Cambridge is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to own significant features end-to-end across critical systems. You’ll work alongside a small, cross-functional team within Shared Applications & Services, delivering meaningful value from day one while expanding architectural knowledge.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and growth across a broad tech stack including C#/.NET, React, and Azure, with ownership of production issues and a path toward broader responsibility.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with modern C#/.NET, SQL, source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong engineering practices including unit testing, code review, debugging and safe change management.
• Awareness of distributed systems and operational risk, such as timeouts, retries, versioning and partial failures.
• Ability to investigate production and support issues using logs, telemetry, database queries and service-level diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills, in person and in writing, particularly when explaining technical findings, risks or trade-offs to engineering and product partners.

Responsibilities

• Work across systems spanning data, security, purchasing, licensing, identity, authentication and usage, supporting both product engineering teams and the wider business
• Real scope to influence architectural decisions and deepen your understanding of how Redgate's platform is designed and operated
• Take ownership of production issues, from investigation through to resolution and prevention
• Exposure to a broad tech stack spanning C#/.NET, React, Azure, event-driven architecture and observability tooling
