Job summary

Pearson Carter Limited is partnering with a growing national telecommunications provider, expanding its Brisbane development team. You’ll build integrations, modernise business systems and automate customer services, with ownership and input into technical decisions.

Responsibilities include building backend services and API integrations, automating service delivery, and extending a CRM with .NET and Python.

Qualifications

• Commercial software development experience appropriate to mid-level or senior positions.
• Strong Python and/or C#/.NET skills. You can be stronger in one, with a willingness to work across both.
• Experience with REST APIs, third-party integrations and relational databases.
• Comfort working in Linux and using AI coding tools, with sound judgement when reviewing their output.
• Ability to solve problems independently and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Advantageous: telecommunications, networking or service provisioning experience.
• Advantageous: Django, FastAPI, Vue or legacy .NET Framework modernisation.
• Advantageous: Docker, CI/CD, Ansible or Salesforce integrations.
• Advantageous: Experience building with LLM APIs, agents or MCP.

• Build and maintain backend services and third-party API integrations connecting customer, network and operational systems.

Salary

• Mid-Level Software Engineer: 120,000–125,000.
• Senior Software Engineer: 150,000.

You’ll also benefit from hybrid working, training and conference budgets, and the opportunity to influence tooling and architecture within a small team. You’ll join five developers, a Dev Lead and two UX/UI specialists, with a short distance between delivering code and seeing its impact.

Location

Brisbane, Queensland, with a hybrid three/two split between office and home.
