Job summary

Whizdom in Sydney hybrid setup is seeking a Microsoft Entra ID SME to own and advance enterprise identity. You will lead design, administration, security, and operational support across the Entra/AAD environment.

You will work with infrastructure, security, and apps teams to ensure secure, well-governed IAM, implement Zero Trust, automate with PowerShell and Graph API, and produce governance reports.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT infrastructure experience.
• 6–8+ years managing Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Experience with hybrid identity platforms.
• Experience with identity governance and security compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting across enterprise identity environments.
• Exposure to ITIL-based service management.
• Experience supporting environments with 10,000+ users.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid AD environments.
• Administer users, groups, roles, and identity governance policies.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex identity incidents.
• Configure and optimise Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR, PIM, Identity Protection.
• Manage Azure AD Connect, identity synchronisation, and SSO services.
• Troubleshoot authentication, synchronisation, and federation issues.
• Maintain identity lifecycle management processes.
• Support security audits and compliance evidence collection.
• Implement Zero Trust principles and review privileged access policies.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and Azure Automation.
• Produce SOPs, knowledge articles, metrics, and governance reporting.

Are you an experienced identity specialist ready to take ownership of a complex enterprise Microsoft Entra ID environment?

We are seeking a Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD SME at Level 3 to provide senior technical leadership across identity platform design, administration, optimisation, security, and operational support. Based in Sydney with hybrid working, this opportunity will suit someone who enjoys resolving complex identity challenges and strengthening enterprise IAM capabilities.

About the opportunity

You will work within a large enterprise technology environment, partnering with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to maintain a secure, stable, and well-governed identity platform. You will also contribute to IAM initiatives, security compliance, incident resolution, automation, and infrastructure modernisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid Active Directory environments
• Administer users, groups, roles, identity governance policies, and platform services
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex identity incidents
• Configure and optimise Conditional Access, MFA, SSPR, PIM, Identity Protection, and risk-based access controls
• Manage Azure AD Connect, identity synchronisation, ADFS, federation, and SSO services
• Troubleshoot authentication, synchronisation, and federation issues
• Maintain identity lifecycle management processes
• Support security audits, vulnerability remediation, access certification, and compliance evidence collection
• Implement Zero Trust principles and review privileged access policies
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Azure Automation
• Produce SOPs, knowledge articles, service metrics, risk tracking, and governance reporting

What you will bring

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience
• 6 to 8+ years managing Microsoft Entra ID or Azure AD environments
• Strong experience supporting hybrid identity platforms
• Experience with identity governance and security compliance programs
• Strong troubleshooting capability across enterprise identity environments
• Exposure to ITIL-based service management
• Experience supporting an environment of 10,000+ users is preferred
