We are recognised for our ability to genuinely partner with clients to reduce cost, mitigate risk, and increase the business value of investment in software, hardware, communications, people, and processes. We operate with the culture of a small company, supported by the resources of a larger parent organisation.

At Group 10, you'll work on diverse and challenging projects, supported by a collaborative team and leadership committed to your growth. We offer professional development opportunities, mentoring, wellness initiatives, and a range of social activities that make you feel part of a close-knit culture.

We value diversity and inclusion and are proud to ensure everyone belongs. Your ideas, contributions, and career development matter here.

We are seeking experienced Microsoft Licensing Consultants to support Commonwealth clients in understanding, managing and optimising their Microsoft licensing environments across complex ICT landscapes.

This is a hands‑on consulting role suited to someone who can independently analyse licensing positions, interpret Microsoft agreements, support compliance activities and identify opportunities to optimise licensing costs and commercial outcomes.

Working closely with technical, commercial and client stakeholders, you will help organisations establish accurate licensing positions, navigate Microsoft compliance requirements and make informed decisions regarding licensing, cloud adoption and technology investment.

We're looking for practical Microsoft licensing and cost optimisation professionals who understand how Microsoft licensing works in real-world enterprise environments.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Undertaking Microsoft licensing compliance assessments across multiple environments
  • Supporting Microsoft VSA (Volume Sourcing Agreement) reporting requirements
  • Analysing licensing data to establish accurate Effective Licensing Positions (ELP)
  • Interpreting Microsoft agreements, including legacy licensing terms and conditions
  • Reviewing Microsoft licensing models across on‑premises, Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid environments
  • Advising on Extended Security Updates (ESU) and legacy environment considerations
  • Identifying cost optimisation opportunities across Microsoft licensing and supporting infrastructure
  • Using Excel and other tools to consolidate, cleanse and analyse complex data sets
  • Engaging with technical teams to validate deployment, configuration and usage data
  • Presenting licensing positions, compliance risks and optimisation recommendations to stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft licensing, Microsoft SAM, licensing compliance or Microsoft cost optimisation roles
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models across on‑premises, Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid environments
  • Experience supporting Microsoft compliance activities including VSA engagements, licensing reviews or internal audits
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong Excel capabilities and the ability to interpret, cleanse and reconcile complex data sets
  • Ability to interpret Microsoft licensing terms and translate them into practical business outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a client‑facing consulting environment
Nice To Have:
  • Experience working with or alongside Microsoft, Microsoft Licensing Solution Providers (LSPs), or major Microsoft partners
  • Exposure to ITAM / SAM tools and processes
  • Exposure to Oracle, IBM or other major software vendor licensing and compliance programs
  • Understanding of commercial, procurement and contractual considerations associated with Microsoft licensing agreements
  • Experience in Federal Government environments
  • Understanding of FinOps or broader ICT cost optimisation practices
  • Current Baseline, NV1 or NV2 clearance
