Job summary

Petstock Group in Melbourne is seeking a Micro Space Planner to translate our merchandise strategy into store layouts that help customers find products easily while driving commercial outcomes.

You will collaborate with the Space Planning Manager and Category Buyers to optimise product flow, planograms, and promotions across stores, bringing a pet-loving community culture to life.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Tertiary education in business or visual merchandising is desirable.
  • Experience with space planning tools like Blue Yonder or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Standardise the Micro Space allocation and product assortment.
  • Develop and maintain planograms that align to merchandise principles and strategic direction.
  • Update and implement Merchandising Principles & Planograms.
  • Liaise with Category Buyers and Coordinators for product flow and layout changes.
  • Provide store support relating to planogram queries to ensure compliance to the Merchandise Strategy.
  • Ensure new and deleted product ranges are managed and updated accordingly in planogram data base in consultation with Category Buyers and the Supply Chain Team
  • Build Promotional Programs that highlight Value and Volume

Job description

Are you passionate about creating seamless customer experiences through strategic space planning? As our next Micro Space Planner, you will play a key role in bringing our merchandise strategy to life. Working closely with the Space Planning Manager, you will optimise product flow, category adjacencies and store layouts, ensuring our customers can easily discover the products they need while supporting commercial outcomes across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Standardising the Micro Space allocation and product assortment
  • Develop and maintain planograms that align to merchandise principles and strategic direction.
  • Update and implement Merchandising Principles & Planograms

What it takes to thrive
  • Tertiary Education with emphasis on Business or Visual Merchandising Related subjects desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail environment
  • Experience or thorough understanding of Blue Yonder or similar Space Management tool
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy
