Job summary

Dhelkaya Health is seeking a Midwifery Group Practice Midwife to provide and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based care for an allocated caseload of women. This role operates within a dynamic team and emphasizes primary healthcare principles and advanced problem solving across the childbirth continuum.

You will lead planning and coordination, provide mentorship to other staff, and be accountable for quality care and outcomes for your women.

Qualifications

• Current midwifery registration with APRHA.
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation.
• Recent obstetric emergency simulation training.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive evidence-based care at an advanced level for an allocated caseload of women.
• Lead, plan and coordinate care and mentor other staff within the MGP team.
• Ensure quality care and monitor outcomes for allocated women.
• Support and collaborate with the team to achieve positive maternity outcomes.

Position Title: Midwifery Group Practice Midwife

Classification: Clinical Midwife Specialist (JC5)

Salary per hour: $56.61 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover) from 21 December 2026 to 20 December 2027 / part-time (56 hours per fortnight)

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028

The Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) midwife will provide and coordinate comprehensive evidenced based care at an advanced level, for an allocated caseload of women utilising primary healthcare principles and advanced problem solving across the childbirth continuum.

The MGP midwife will also provide leadership, planning, coordination, and in addition provide support and mentorship to other staff. The MGP midwife will be responsible and accountable for the achievement of quality care and monitoring of outcomes for their allocated women.
