Dhelkaya Health in regional Victoria is seeking an experienced Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) Midwife. This 12-month fixed-term, part-time position (56 hours per fortnight) focuses on delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for an allocated caseload of women across the childbirth continuum.

The successful applicant will lead care coordination, provide mentorship to staff, and drive quality outcomes within a supportive, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with APRHA.
• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation.
• Recent obstetric emergency simulation training.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive evidenced-based care at an advanced level for an allocated caseload of women.
• Lead, plan and coordinate care; mentor other staff as part of the MGP team.
• Be accountable for quality care and monitoring of outcomes for your allocated women.

Position Title: Midwifery Group Practice Midwife

Classification: Clinical Midwife Specialist (JC5)

Salary per hour: $56.61 + superannuation + generous salary packaging options

Employment Type: 12-month fixed term contract (parental leave cover) from 21 December 2026 to 20 December 2027 / part-time (56 hours per fortnight)

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Health Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028

The Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) midwife will provide and coordinate comprehensive evidenced based care at an advanced level, for an allocated caseload of women utilising primary healthcare principles and advanced problem solving across the childbirth continuum.

The MGP midwife will also provide leadership, planning, coordination, and in addition provide support and mentorship to other staff. The MGP midwife will be responsible and accountable for the achievement of quality care and monitoring of outcomes for their allocated women.
