Job summary

SCT Group in Adelaide is seeking a professional truck driver to deliver SCT trailers and containers across metropolitan distribution centres. You will manage yard movements, perform vehicle inspections, and keep accurate logs and proof-of-delivery records to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires holding a current HC or MC licence, fatigue management certification, and at least two years’ metropolitan driving experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a current HC or MC licence and fatigue management certification.
• Metropolitan driving experience of at least two years.
• Ability to reverse, hitch and unhitch trailers safely.
• Commitment to safety, load restraint and compliance with NHVR rules.
• Physically capable of handling loading duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SCT trailers and containers to metropolitan distribution centres.
• Manage yard movements and position containers and trailers with care.
• Complete vehicle inspections, logs, run sheets and proof of delivery records.
• Check freight for non-conformance such as damage or quantity discrepancies.
• Secure loads and meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Follow SCT and customer site rules.
• Provide excellent customer experience with a customer-focused approach.
• Utilize MTData or similar fleet management tools for real-time reporting.
