Job summary

Service Stream Energy is seeking a Meter Reader in Renmark (SAW) to walk assigned meter routes, recording readings in an outdoor, community-based role. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training and PPE are supplied.

The position supports a healthy lifestyle with flexible hours and independent fieldwork. The role is based in the Riverland/Renmark area, involves walking, bending and squatting, and requires a current valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a mobile phone.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors.
• Mon-Fri, 25–30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner
• Uphold Service Stream safety standards and publicly represent the company and clients
• Understand and ensure targets are met
• Ability to work independently but also with other team members
• Regularly communicate with office support team
• Upload/download route information to/from hand-held device

About the Role

Do you enjoy working outdoors in the community, in a role that supports your health and wellbeing? We are looking for someone to join our team as a Meter Reader throughout the Riverland - Renmark area to walk an allocated neighbourhood taking and recording utility meter readings. No experience is required. Immediate start available. We will teach you everything you need to know.

What you need

• Current valid drivers licence
• Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
• Ready to learn and able to work on your own
• Able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting
• Able to work in most weather conditions
• Able to work Mon-Fri - 5 days, 5 days per week, 25 - 30 hours per week
• Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to, or more than 45 minutes each way
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail is required
