Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a casual Meter Reader to join our field team in NSW. You will visit sites to take readings, enter data using a handheld device, and ensure accurate recording of consumption in all weather conditions.

Full training is provided, and no prior meter reading experience is required. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are essential to access customer sites and complete readings efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Demonstrated time management, reliability, and customer service skills.
• Motivation to work safely, follow schedules and complete tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Take meter readings at various sites and enter data using a handheld device.
• Work outdoors, outdoors and be active across wide areas.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient and accurate meter reading process.
