Job summary

Suzanne Grae, part of The Sussan Group, invites applications for a Merchandise Planner (Apparel) based in our Macquarie Park office in NSW. You will be commercially minded, drive category sales plans and contribute to gross profit while partnering with Buying to align on assortment and growth strategies.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will build strong relationships across teams, influence decisions, manage OTB and re-forecasting, and ensure the customer remains at the heart of planning

Qualifications

• Fashion or relevant tertiary qualifications desirable
• Leadership skills with previous management experience ideal
• Allocation experience within retail - Apparel
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Demonstrated experience in reporting and analysis
• Business outcomes and solutions focused
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong relationship building and stakeholder management capability

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Buying to develop buying plans and growth strategies
• Review range to meet brand strategies and financial goals
• Oversee planning and re-forecasting of key items and volume lines
• OTB Management and identify opportunities to achieve financial objectives
• Review store sales and allocations with Planning Assistants
• Liaise with internal and external teams as required

Our Opportunity:

Join our team as our new Merchandise Planner (Apparel) based in our Macquarie Park office.

As a commercially minded and driven individual, you will play a vital role in the team, enabling the department and your category to achieve set sales plans and overall gross profit.

Reporting to the Planning Manager and partnering closely with our Buying team, your ability to build key relationships as well as effectively influence and solve problems will play an important part in your day-to-day and support your success in this fast-paced and hands-on role.

Your focus on our customer and understanding of fashion trends will support the management of your category.

Your day-to-day will include:
