Wyndham Park Primary School invites applications for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader. The role combines two classroom days per week with a whole-school leadership focus to promote mental health, wellbeing and student engagement across the school community.

As a qualified teacher, you will support staff to implement evidence-based mental health strategies and coordinate referral pathways, working closely with families, external services and regional education teams.

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Proven ability to input into development, implementation and evaluation of processes relating to mental health, wellbeing or learning.
• Experience meeting qualification requirements for Victorian teaching roles (e.g., postgraduate initial teacher education program standards and LANTITE requirements).

Responsabilités

• Promote a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing to students, staff and families.
• Support teachers and school staff to embed evidence-based mental health strategies and literacy across the curriculum.
• Collaborate with school staff to inform, influence and provide input into teaching and learning relating to mental health and wellbeing.
• Work with school leadership and wellbeing teams to embed whole school approaches to mental health into planning and school programs.
• Coordinate clear referral pathways internally (within school) and externally (to community services) for students identified as requiring further assessment and intervention.
• Proactively coordinate targeted mental health support for primary school students.
• Contribute to the school's existing wellbeing team.
