Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Eastern Sector Acute Care Services, Community Mental Health Services, based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The role involves mental health assessments in the community, short-term treatment, and coordinating care pathways to support patients through acute episodes.

Ideal candidates hold recognised nursing qualifications with current AHPRA registration and a NSW driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence (not required to drive is stated but can be included)
• Recognised nursing tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and determine appropriate care pathways.
• Deliver short-term mental health treatment in the community and hospital settings.
• Collaborate with hospital and community stakeholders to ensure ongoing care after acute episodes.
