Open Minds invites applications for a Mental Health Clinician to join our NSW service. You will work with senior clinical leadership to deliver individualized, evidence-based interventions for short to medium-term support, and conduct clinical and risk assessments as part of comprehensive care planning.

You will engage with the community, coordinate with stakeholders, and help implement recovery-focused treatment plans within a supportive team.

Formación

Join an inclusive service providing accessible mental health support to the Lismore community. Our centre offers assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate support for people with varying levels of need, including those in crisis.

As a Mental Health Clinician, you'll collaborate with the Senior Clinician and Clinical Lead, providing individualised, evidence-based interventions for short to medium-term support. You'll conduct clinical and risk assessments, implement treatment and management plans and work closely with internal and external stakeholders within the community to deliver holistic recovery orientated care. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, offering the chance to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and purpose-driven team.

About You

• Experienced in assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders.
• Extensive experience fostering mental health and well-being, delivering inclusive therapeutic services with a recovery and strengths-based focus.
• Experienced in conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention planning, and implementing effective risk management strategies for consumers.
• Knowledge of the mental health system, government policies, legislation, and professional standards.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, OT, or related field
• AHPRA or AASW registration eligibility
• Current Driver Licence
• Current Blue Card
• Current National Police Check
• Knowledge of mental health systems, legislation, and standards
• Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment
