Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner (Social Worker / Allied Health) for a Medicare Mental Health Centre in Redcliffe. Join a value-driven team delivering biopsychosocial assessments, recovery planning and practical psychosocial support in a flexible full-/part-time role.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Allied Health.
• Current AASW eligibility or registration with the relevant professional body.
• Experience undertaking comprehensive biopsychosocial or psychosocial assessments.
• Experience developing recovery plans that help people achieve meaningful goals.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based and recovery-oriented practice.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed biopsychosocial assessments.
• Develop and review person-led recovery and support plans.
• Provide immediate support to people in distress and connect to services.
• Co-facilitate therapeutic and psychosocial groups (e.g. DBT, art therapy).
• Collaborate with families, carers and health professionals to support goals.
• Assist clients with accessing housing, NDIA/NDIS, and related supports.
