Job summary

Fitness and Lifestyle Group, owner of Goodlife Health Clubs in Australia, is seeking a Membership Manager to lead a high-energy MSC team, drive membership growth, and deliver exceptional member experiences.

You will own the member journey from join to departure, coach your team, and employ sales techniques to meet targets. The role offers uncapped commissions, free club access, and family gym memberships as part of our rewards.

Qualifications

• Sales and customer service experience with KPI achievement.
• Understanding of selling cycles and upselling/cross-selling techniques.
• Experience managing customer journeys and retention metrics.
• Experience managing and mentoring a team.
• Ability to set and motivate others toward a goal.
• Experience using business computer systems.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily MSC team's workflow to reach monthly sales targets.
• Achieve personal monthly and annual sales targets.
• Create structure to ensure daily minimum performance criteria.
• Assist with delivery of sales training to develop the MSC team.
• Achieve member retention and growth budgets monthly.
• Respond to enquiries (phone, email, in person) within 24 hours.
• Support Club and Regional Manager in growth initiatives.
• Support the Club Manager in fortnightly MSC roster.

The Opportunity

As a Membership Manager, you're the heartbeat of your club, leading a high-energy team of Member Support Consultants to drive membership growth and keep the club buzzing. You'll be all-in on both attracting new members and keeping current members inspired, engaged, and coming back for more.

You own the full member journey, from joiners to leavers, and make sure front desk operations and service standards are nothing short of exceptional. As a coach and mentor, you empower your team with the skills, confidence, and clarity to smash their goals. With sharp sales smarts, commercial insight, and people-first leadership, you'll shape a culture that excites prospects to join and motivates members to stick with their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily workflow of the club's MSC team ensuring the club reaches monthly sales targets
• Achieve your own individual proportionate monthly and annual sales targets to contribute to the success of the team
• Create a structure to ensure that the MSC team achieves their daily minimum performance criteria
• Assist with the delivery of sales training to develop the MSC team
• Achieve member retention and growth budgets on a monthly basis
• Ensure that enquiries via phone, email or in person are responded to within 24 hours
• Support the Club and Regional Manager in developing initiatives to drive membership growth
• Support the Club Manager in developing the MSC fortnightly roster

About you

• Able to demonstrate proven sales and customer service experience with a clear ability to hit KPIs
• An understanding of the cycle of selling, and various sales techniques including up-selling and cross-selling
• Previous experience of managing the customer journey to achieve successful customer outcomes - an understanding of customer retention strategies and metrics is highly regarded
• Previous experience of managing and mentoring a team
• Ability to set and motivate others towards a goal
• Experience using business computer systems
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
