Job summary

Defence Bank is seeking a Customer Service Consultant to join our branches across Australia. You will deliver outstanding service, help members with everyday banking needs and build lasting relationships while supporting our growth.

You will handle inquiries about loans, accounts, and services, work in a fast-paced retail environment, and adhere to risk and compliance standards. No two days are the same, offering variety and opportunities to develop your career.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing retail or administrative team or similar.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise to reduce member effort.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Prior banking experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the branch consumer lending portfolio including personal loans, credit cards and identify home lending opportunities to mobile lenders.
• Open new memberships, savings and deposit accounts and provide general insurance products to Members.
• Provide best-in-class member service for inbound and outbound calls across Australia.
• Pro-actively complete branch activities such as deposits/ withdrawals and account maintenance.
• Adhere to current policies, procedures and compliance standards.
