Job summary

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering degree in façade/structural/civil engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years in façade engineering.
• Experience in steel/concrete design.
• Experience using STRAND7, Robot, THERM and AutoCAD.
• MS Office/365 proficiency.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and Design Codes.
• Understanding of BCA and façade codes.
• EA membership eligibility preferred.
• Working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Designing, planning, organising, and overseeing construction of façade/structural/civil projects.
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings and documentation from clients or authorities.
• Complying with guidelines and regulations, including permits and safety.
• Overseeing and mentoring junior staff and liaising with builders, architects, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Working on interstate and international projects with an innovative team.
• Developing structural analysis skills using software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations.
• Undertaking site inspections and preparing inspection reports.
• Preparing calculation reports, specifications and related documents.
• Sketching concept designs and developing design drawings.
• Reviewing and marking up architectural and subcontractor drawings.
