Job summary

MEGT in Melbourne is seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in commercial and high-end residential environments. You’ll learn on-the-job and complete your Certificate III in Electrotechnology.

You’ll work with experienced tradespeople, develop skills in wiring, diagnostics and reading electrical plans, and be supported with coaching and a nationally recognised qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical installation, wiring, maintenance and fault finding.
• Work with electrical equipment, machinery and systems within high end residential and commercial environments.
• Develop practical skills in electrical cabling, connections, testing and diagnostics.
• Read and interpret basic electrical plans, drawings and schematics as your skills develop.
• Assist experienced tradespeople with day-to-day electrical work and projects.
• Gain exposure to a variety of electrical work while building your technical knowledge.
• Work as part of a team while developing your confidence and independence on the job.
