Job summary

CSIRO is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager to lead a nationally dispersed team and develop a portfolio-wide MEL framework that drives evidence-based decision making and portfolio-wide learning.

You will oversee RUIC and SME reporting, manage data collection and analysis, and build staff capacity across the portfolio, with travel as needed and pro-rata for part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. innovation, statistics, program evaluation) or equivalent MEL work experience.
• Experience leading the development and application of MEL frameworks, performance measures, data collection and reporting.
• Experience building and leading effective teams and managing performance.
• Strong written and presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a nationally dispersed team to develop and implement an Innovation Programs MEL framework.
• Lead RUIC monitoring, evaluation and KPI reporting and liaising with stakeholders.
• Oversee CSIRO SME Strategy reporting, data gathering and governance requirements.
• Coordinate qualitative and quantitative data collection, storage and analysis.
• Prepare high-quality reports, case studies and presentations for diverse audiences.
• Build staff capacity and share best practices across the portfolio.
• Develop and manage stakeholder relationships and represent CSIRO externally.
