Job summary

The Medical Superintendent Private Practice (MSPP) role at Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service, part of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, provides private practice from the surgery on Munns Drive while maintaining essential clinical skills at the service.

You will oversee inpatients and outpatients, including 24-hour emergency department coverage, bring MBBS and medical registration, and pursue ongoing professional development through EDMS. Fellowship desirable.

Qualifications

• Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification and be eligible for medical registration with AHPRA.
• Fellowship with ACRRM (FACRRM) or RACGP (FRACGP) is highly desirable.
• Experience in general practice, emergency medicine and related clinical areas including aged care, mental health and drug and alcohol care.
• Able to manage emergency childbirth and maintain ALS/APLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality medical care to the Woorabinda community, including 24‑hour ED coverage.
• Provide private practice from the surgery on Munns Drive while maintaining clinical skills at the service.
• May be required to work at other CQHHS facilities in line with service needs; participate in mentoring and professional development.
