Job summary

Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) in Adelaide is seeking a Medical Scientist Level 1 in Virology / Serology / Molecular Diagnostics. The role involves performing routine diagnostic tests, contributing to patient care and public health outcomes, and working under supervision to develop independence as you progress through MeS-1.

You will train and supervise technical staff, participate in research and teaching activities, and pursue ongoing professional growth within a dynamic laboratory

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised degree in pathology or equivalent qualification as defined by NPAAC.
• Experience performing routine diagnostic tests and using lab equipment.
• Ability to plan, organize and meet workload targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic tests across Virology, Serology and Molecular Diagnostics.
• Assist in training and supervision of technical staff.
• Contribute to development and adoption of new methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Support safe, high-quality laboratory practice and report findings clearly.
