Job description
Job Overview

The Department of Health is seeking motivated and experienced Medical Practitioners to work as part of the Department of Emergency Medicine across Tasmania’s North West Region.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and provide after hours emergency cover at the hospital as determined by the Medical Staffing Unit.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care to patients attending the Department of Emergency Medicine at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH).

Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

What We Offer

Fixed term full time, shift-worker position working 76 hours per fortnight with 10 hours paid education time.

Commencing as soon as possible until 31 January 2027.

Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,500 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
