  • Salary - Classification - ASO2 - Administrative Services Officer L2 - $30.01 - $32.28 per hour + 25% casual loading
  • Casual – Term contract (14 month contract)

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Health Information Services Unit as Medical Records Officer (ASO2) where you will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a multi-skilled team contributing to an efficient and effective Medical Record and Patient Registration service.
  • Working on a rotational roster within the Medical Records Department and Patient Registration.
  • Contributing to a comprehensive high quality, proactive and responsive patient registration and reception service to the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Sound communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, staff, external agencies and members of the public.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and incorporating conflict and aggressive behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of team and to function in and promote a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and information security in a health setting.
  • Understanding of high-quality customer service.
