Front-Desk Medical Receptionist / Occupational Health Administrator – Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front-Desk Medical Receptionist / Occupational Health Administrator to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for customer service and experience with medical software, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Requirements:

  • Previous medical reception experience highly regarded (experience with Pracsoft and Medical Director preferred)
  • Exceptional customer service and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure
  • Strong ethical standards, particularly regarding privacy and confidentiality
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and separate personal/external issues from the workplace
  • Current police check (required upon successful application)

Work Hours: You must be reliable and available for all shifts as rostered between: Monday to Friday: 6:45 am – 6:30 pm (e.g., 6.45 am–3.15 pm, 8 am–4.30 pm, 8.30 am–5 pm, 10.00 am–6:30 pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients with inquiries and appointments
  • Answer telephone inquiries courteously and professionally
  • Process patient payments accurately (cash and EFTPOS)
  • Ensure accurate handling, storage, and retrieval of patient and practice records
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient personal and financial information
  • Keep reception and clinical areas tidy and welcoming
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with clients and patients
  • Conduct health and occupational screenings and assessments
  • Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients
  • Identify and report any concerns or abnormalities promptly to medical professionals
  • Engage effectively with a diverse range of patients, visitors, and colleagues
