Job summary

MedRecruit Limited seeks locum cover for a rural hospital on the mid-North Coast of New South Wales from 28 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. Roles include GP / Rural Generalist Obstetrician or Consultant Specialist Obstetrician with neonatal resuscitation skills, with 24-hour ED supported by GP VMOs.

Travel and accommodation are provided. Rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes and casual loading where applicable. Must hold current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.

Job description

Locum cover is required from 28 December 2026 - 1 January 2027.

• Consultant/Specialist/VMO
• GP / Rural Generalist Obstetrician or Consultant Specialist Obstetrician (with neonatal resuscitation skills).
• Travel and accommodation is included.

Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading, where applicable.

This is a local community, level 3 rural hospital located on the mid-North Coast of New South Wales (NSW).

The hospital is comprised of 81 beds, 10 of which are used for voluntary mental health. There is a 24-hour Emergency Department that is staffed by local GP VMOs supplemented by career medical officers.
