NSW Health Pathology at Nepean Hospital is seeking dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our Central Specimen Reception team. As part of a diverse and supportive group, you'll help ensure the timely processing of specimens that support critical diagnostic and patient care services across the health system.

This recruitment is for multiple employment types and requires availability for a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive and triage specimens, register patients and enter requests, and prepare specimens for transport to laboratories.
• Support timely and accurate diagnostic testing by delivering specimens to the appropriate laboratories.

What You'll Be Doing

Contribute to a high-quality pathology service. Perform pathology specimen reception duties including receiving and triaging of specimens, patient registration and request entry, specimen processing and preparation for transport or delivery to laboratories for timely accurate diagnostic testing.
