Job summary

Portland District Health in Portland, Victoria, invites a graduate or early career radiographer to join the Medical Imaging team as a Graduate / Grade 1 Technologist on a fixed term Full-time contract (80 hours per fortnight with a monthly ADO). Available from 7 September 2026 to 23 August 2027.

You will work across General X-ray, CT, Theatre and Mammography, receive comprehensive CT training in a supported environment, and access modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or early career radiographer with registration or eligible by late 2026.
• Interest in CT and willingness to develop skills in a supported environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work across General X-ray, CT, Theatre and Mammography.
• Participate in comprehensive CT training and career development.
• Utilise modern equipment including DR, CT, US, CBCT, DEXA and 3D Mammography.
• Join a multidisciplinary team providing patient-centred care.

MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST - GRADUATE / GRADE 1

Fixed Term Full-time - 80 hours per fortnight plus monthly ADO

Available from 7th September 2026 to 23rd August 2027

Portland District Health is expanding our friendly team and are seeking a graduate radiographer or early career radiographer. If you are a positive, enthusiastic and motivated individual seeking a diverse clinical load then we have the job for you.

About the role:

• Work across multiple modalities including General X-ray, CT, Theatre and Mammography.
• Comprehensive CT training and career development in a supported environment.
• Modern equipment including DR, CT, US, CBCT, DEXA and 3D Mammography.
• Enjoy fantastic sea views from the Medical Imaging Department.
• Earn ADO’s and take a paid day off per month.

Grade 1 classification:$74,172- $90,183 per annum.

About you:

You are a graduate or early career radiographer. Interest in developing your skills and experience in CT. Demonstrate compassionate and holistic patient focussed care, in an acute hospital setting. Contribute to the multi-disciplinary team through excellent communication and organisational skills. Looking to grow and expand your knowledge in Medical Imaging.

• Medical Radiation Practitioner AHPRA Registration or eligible late 2026.
• Victorian Radiation use licence or eligible late 2026.
