The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) invites applications for a Medical Advisor to drive clinical initiatives and improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes. Based in Melbourne with flexible location, you will support education, policy and advocacy with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Manager, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, you will provide expert clinical advice for health checks, education programs, and the

Formación

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
• Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent, with FRACGP
• GP experience in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities
• Experience in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education
• Understanding of Aboriginal Community Control and SDoH

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert clinical advice for health checks, Faculty education, training, policy and advocacy.
• Lead projects to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes and support the Australian General Practice Training Program.
• Represent RACGP project and the Faculty at meetings, conferences and in publications with specialist advice.
• Monitor research and policy developments to inform the RACGP project and the National Guide to Preventive Healthcare for Indigenous people.
