Job summary

Eurofins BioPharma Australia/New Zealand is seeking a Media Technician for a 6-month contract to support the Media department in Sydney. You will calibrate equipment, prepare media and reagents, and perform routine QC analyses to ensure compliance with SOPs and methods.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Degree in Science or Laboratory Techniques (Microbiology) or equivalent, with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Australian work rights are required.

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia / New Zealand provides contract GMP testing to human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and complimentary medicine manufactures, as well as an extensive range of SPF and other cosmetics testing, both in-vitro and in-vivo in accordance with a range of local and international standards. The range of testing includes microbiological and chemistry on raw materials, in process and finished products, complemented by product formulation services. Job Description

TheMedia Technicianwill be responsible for ensuring all work undertaken within the Media department is performed to a high standard and complies with current written procedures. In addition,the Media Technician will be involved in calibrations, quality control of media, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and maintenance of equipment.This role is offered on a temporary 6-month contract basis.

Reporting to the NSPT Department Manager, the key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Providinga high level of support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuringthat work performed within the area complies to SOP’s/methods.
• Completing internal equipment calibrations and records.
• Preparingmedia and reagents.
• Conducting routine QC analysis of all media/reagents and report deviations
• Signing off Media Quality Certificates.
• Cleaning and sterilising reusable laboratory ware.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Science/Laboratory Techniques (Microbiology) (or similar) or equivalent experience preferred.
