Job summary

Zinfra is seeking a Mechanical Technician for Atlas Compressor Station near Wandoan, QLD. This hands-on role maintains gas engines, compressors and associated plant, performing planned maintenance, fault finding and project work on rotating equipment.

You will work with Operations and E&I teams on a 8/6 DIDO roster, with accommodation provided in Wandoan. Suitable for candidates in the Western Downs, Darling Downs or Maranoa regions.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanical tradesperson with hands-on experience.
• Gas engines, compressors or rotating equipment experience.
• Sound understanding of permits, isolations, and safe work practices.
• Strong fault-finding skills and field decision making.
• Reliable, accountable and team-minded with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and corrective maintenance on gas engines and compressors.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high-pressure gas and process equipment.
• Support shutdowns, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Participate in on-call and emergency response.
• Follow permits, isolations and safety procedures; maintain records.
