Job summary

RAM Services, part of the Kolsen Group, seeks an experienced Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to join our Darwin operations in Berrimah. The role is residential and full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional remote travel.

You will service, repair and test industrial compressors, pumps and valves, work with minimal supervision, and contribute to safety-focused maintenance across oil, gas, marine and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade (Cert III Engineering) or equivalent
• Current Drivers Licence
• Nationally recognised Construction Card (White Card)
• Full Australian work rights
• Able to pass industry medicals and Drug and Alcohol screening
• Criminal history check

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and testing of industrial compressors, pumps and blowers.
• Service, repair and testing of pressure relief and/or safety valves.
• Flange management and alignment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement improvements.
• Operate with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
• Contribute to a safety-focused team culture.

RAM Services is currently looking for a Mechanical Technician (Fitter) to join our growing maintenance business.

Description:

Due to continued success, RAMS are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join the team operating out of our NATA accredited Berrimah facility.

Your mechanical skills, knowledge and experience will directly contribute to the value that RAM Services provide our clients in the energy, marine and infrastructure industries.

You will be trusted to work with autonomy on a wide variety of equipment, and provided with ongoing training, support and opportunities for career development.

This is a Darwin based, residential full-time role, working Monday - Friday with some remote travel at times.

Required Qualifications and Tickets:

• Mechanical Trade (Cert III Engineering) or an equivalent recognised trade certificate
• Current Drivers Licence

• Full Australian work rights

Desirable:

• Familiarity with quality assured processes such as NATA and ISO standards
• Hydrostatic Testing of pressure vessels and hoses, calibration of pressure gauges and torque wrenches
• Compressor servicing experience
• Senior First Aid (obtained in the past 2 years),
• Working at Heights
• Elevated Work Platform
• Confined Space Entry
• Forklift
• Breathing Apparatus

Essential:
