Job summary

Duratec Australia in Darwin is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ongoing projects. The role involves maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment onsite, with roster options and potential for long-term opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification, a strong maintenance background, and tickets such as Working at Heights and Confined Space. Safety, teamwork and quality workmanship are essential. Pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in oil & gas, LNG is highly desirable.
• Heavy emphasis on safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively within a rostered maintenance team.
• Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (within last 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical equipment onsite including fixed plant, turbines, valves and pumps.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting across plant systems.
• Work safely within oil & gas processing environments.
• Support shutdowns and preventative/corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and standards.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitters for various immediate & upcoming projects. This is an exciting opportunity for Darwin-based tradespersons looking for long term opportunities with various roster options.

THE ROLE

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment onsite including Fixed Plant / Turbines / Valve & Pump Overhauls / Machining / Hydraulics / Rotating Equipment
• Fault finding and troubleshooting across plant systems
• Working safely within O&G processing environments
• Supporting shutdowns and preventative/corrective maintenance activities
• Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and standards

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
