Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead frontline mechanical delivery on a major project at Alcoa's Pinjarra Refinery in Western Australia. You will supervise mechanical trades, coordinate labour, plant, and equipment, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence on site.

The role requires a mechanical trade qualification and proven experience supervising heavy industry works. You will lead daily execution, conduct safety briefings, and maintain robust project

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience supervising mechanical works in heavy industry or major projects.
• Strong safety leadership and permit-to-work knowledge.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary crews.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical trades, leading hands, labour and subcontractors on site.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to meet project outcomes safely and efficiently.
• Monitor site safety, health and environmental requirements.
• Lead daily work execution to meet project schedules, productivity and quality objectives.
• Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Ensure all personnel hold the required qualifications, licences and site inductions.
• Monitor workmanship standards and ensure work complies with project specs and quality requirements.
• Identify and manage risks and hazards associated with work activities.
• Maintain accurate records, timesheets and project documentation.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to site personnel.

Working on site in Pinjarra, you will be responsible for supervising mechanical trades, leading daily work activities, coordinating labour and equipment, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
