Job summary

Clough, in a joint venture with Saipem and part of the Webuild group, is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee site activities for the CERES urea plant project in WA. The role involves leading mechanical teams, ensuring safety, quality, and timely progress on a landmark WA construction initiative.

You will coordinate with project managers and engineers, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines on a 19:9 rotation to Karratha.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in construction, focusing on mechanical/rotating equipment scope.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of SMP systems, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively under pressure.
• Proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills. 10+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical activities on-site, including rotating equipment scope and related systems.
• Ensure all mechanical work meets drawings, specs, standards, and safety regs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and other supervisors to ensure seamless workflow.
• Monitor manpower, materials and equipment to meet milestones.
• Inspect installations and conduct quality checks for workmanship and materials.
• Prepare and maintain site reports and logs related to progress and issues.

Mechanical Supervisor Date: 26 Sept 2026 Location: Perth, Australia Company: Webuild S.p.A. Deliver a sustainable future with WA's landmark urea project! This role is on a 19:9 rotation to our Perdaman project in Karratha, WA. Clough, as part of a Joint Venture with Saipem, is delivering the Project 'CERES' urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities. We are currently searching for Mechanical Supervisor to join our site-based team on Project Ceres. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing activities on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and labour teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timeline.
