DIGGA AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD. on the Gold Coast invites a skilled Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter to join our team in Yatala. You will fit, assemble and fault-find hydraulic/mechanical systems, with a focus on hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes.

The ideal candidate has a trade qualification as a fitter, at least 3 years' experience, and the ability to read technical drawings. Manufacturing in earthmoving would be highly regarded; on-site work, career progression and staff events are offered.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Fitter or similar.
• Minimum 3 years Fitter experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults.
• Direct hydraulic/mechanical assemblies and repairs.
• Perform general maintenance such as oil changes, flow, and pressure tests.
• In house and on-site gearbox and equipment commissioning for new equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes.
• Final assemblies, testing, servicing and repairing planetary gearboxes, hydraulic motors, pumps, valve banks and cylinders.

Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter

We are currently seeking a motivated Mechanical/Hydraulic Fitter who specialises in hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes to join our team! The right candidate will be a mechanically minded person who will play a critical role in fitting, assembling and fault finding of our hydraulic/mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Detect, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults
• Direct hydraulic/mechanical assemblies and repairs
• Perform general maintenance such as oil changes, flow, and pressure tests
• In house and on-site gearbox and equipment commissioning for new equipment
• Experience with hydraulic motors and planetary gearboxes
• Demonstrated experience carrying out final assemblies, testing, servicing, and repairing planetary gearboxes, hydraulic motors, pumps, valve banks and cylinders
• High level of integrity, honesty, reliability and confidentiality at all times
• Basic computer skills
• Trade Qualification as a Fitter or similar
• Minimum 3 years Fitter experience
• An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• A background in manufacturing within the earthmoving or similar industry is highly regarded.
