Job summary

Flender in Rockhampton, QLD, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the Queensland workshop for overhaul of gearboxes and power transmission equipment.

You will read engineering drawings, perform inspections, and work safely in a team-driven environment with minimal supervision. Occasional site work may be required, with OEM training opportunities to support growth.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use workshop measuring equipment.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to work safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul gearboxes and power transmission equipment.
• Strip, clean, inspect, and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain workshop in good working order and clean workspace.
• Occasional travel/site work may be required.
• Learn and develop through OEM training.

We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to join the team in our QLD Workshop (Rockhampton).

We will support Australia-wide relocation for the right candidates. Similar jobs are available in VIC (Dandenong), and WA (Perth).

Role Summary

Tasks

• Be a leader in safety


• All aspects of all makes and types of Gearbox/ Power Transmission equipment overhaul


• Strip, clean, Inspect, and repair Industrial power transmission equipment with minimum supervision


• Ability to maintain the workshop in good working order, including equipment and clean workspace


• Occasional travel/site work may be required


• Willingness for learning and development including OEM training
