Job summary

Quarry & Mining Manufacture is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Wollert facility on the night shift. This permanent full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to contribute to a safe, high-performing maintenance team.

Based in Wollert, Victoria, you will perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment, with responsibilities across crushing, screening and conveying systems, while upholding site safety and procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent mechanical trade.
• Current White Card and Driver's License.
• Forklift, Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets desirable or willing to obtain.
• Experience maintaining fixed plant equipment in heavy industrial environments.
• Must pass pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults across crushing, screening and conveying systems.
• Repair and replace bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulic components and other mechanical equipment.
• Support shutdown maintenance activities and major plant overhauls.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site procedures.

The opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter working from our Wollert facility on night shift. This role offers immediate start and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive crew.

Location: Wollert, Victoria.

Shift hours: 8pm-4am Monday to Friday night shift.

Permanent full-time position.

What you’ll be doing

Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment.

Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults across crushing, screening and conveying systems.

What you’ll need
