Job summary

WorkPac is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for an Australia-wide client. You will carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and repair work to keep equipment operating reliably, with morning and afternoon shifts and potential overtime.

You’ll inspect components, operate a forklift, and maintain a safe, efficient workshop environment. The role requires a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification, HRWL forklift ticket, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to pass a drug screen; gearbox refurbishment

Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification - Mandatory.
• HRWL Forklift Ticket - Mandatory.
• Driver's Licence with reliable transport - Mandatory.
• Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol screening.
• Dogging/Rigging tickets - Preferred.
• Previous gearbox refurbishment experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and repair work including gearbox refurbishment.
• Inspect components and completed work to maintain quality and safety.
• Operate a forklift and keep the workshop clean and hazard-free.
