Job summary

JBS Australia operates the Cobram plant and is seeking a Full Time Mechanical Fitter for day and afternoon shifts. You will help ensure asset uptime, perform planned and unplanned maintenance, and support continuous improvements across equipment and systems.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical fitter trade qualification, have maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, and are available for shift work with reliable transport. Q fever vaccination is encouraged where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical fitter trade qualification and maintenance/repair experience.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Be available for shift work and have reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of assets.
• Monitor and address issues with planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment and systems.
• Maintain maximum equipment uptime via preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
